He was involved in the July 21, 1878, killing of outlaw Sam Bass in Round Rock, Texas, when Bass was shot by Texas Ranger George Herold. This book is a facsimile Gillett’s copy of theList of Fugitives from Justice which was published by the Texas Adjutant General in 1878 for distribution to Texas Rangers.
